Hi, my name is Melanie Greenwood
and this is my website, www.pt4kids.org. Leaps & Bounds Physical Therapy is my private practice. I am a young,
progressive physical therapist that specializes in physical therapy for children of all ages. Leaps & Bounds
Physical Therapy has been a dream of mine for many years, offering a personal touch to families who seek choices that traditional therapy
does not address.
Our mission is to aide families in their journey toward whole body wellness by providing treatment for total mind, body, and spirit in a supportive, educational, and mutually active environment.
About
me: I have been working in the physical therapy field for over 16 years, starting out as a Physcial Therapy Assistant,
(PTA) before returning to school to seek a BS and eventually a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 2000.
Over my years of service, I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings with ages from birth to geriatrics
and found my heart was into pediatrics. Working with children and teaching families is very gratifying.
My resume is constantly expanding but I am proud to be involved in many facets of total wellness. My post
graduate education and training includes over 300 hours of training in Integrative Manual Therapy from Center
IMT in Bloomfield, CT. Further training includes Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) of the Infant
and Young Child with Cerebral Palsy, Assessment and Treatment of Children with
Multi-Sensory, Attentional, and Interactional Problems.
Leaps & Bounds Physical Therapy also holds a local school contract to provide physical therapy services in an educational
environment. This relationship helps provide a contiuous bridge for children obtaining services both privately and in-school.
Thank you for taking the time to browse my website, if you are interested in learning more about my practice
and the benefits I can provide your child throughout his or her childhood development, please feel free to contact
me.
Melanie
